Liquid Financing AI Engineer VP

Salary: $170,000 - 230,000 per year Requirements:

• We need strong engineering experience in Python and/or Java, with preferred proficiency in both and solid depth in one language plus working capability in the other.
• We need extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, and IAM.
• We need an understanding of Kubernetes for deploying and running containerized services in production.
• We need excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to engineering colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.
• We need practical knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including experience integrating LLM APIs, embeddings, and retrieval patterns into applications.
• We highly value domain knowledge in Liquid Financing, including Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income Financing, Stock Borrow & Loan, or Custody.
• We value experience working directly with Quants and Strats and understanding their workflows, data needs, and the role of technology in quantitative and structuring functions.
• We value familiarity with financial instruments, trade lifecycles, or risk systems in a front-office technology environment.
• We value experience with event-driven architectures, message streaming such as Kafka or MSK, or real-time data processing pipelines.
• We value exposure to DevSecOps practices and regulatory or compliance technology requirements within financial services.

• We design, develop, and improve software using a range of engineering methods to support business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
• We deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized.
• We collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, shape solution approaches, and ensure smooth integration with business goals.
• We participate in code reviews with peers and help promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• We stay current with technology trends and innovations and contribute to our technology communities to support technical excellence and growth.
• We apply secure coding practices to reduce vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and deliver secure software.
• We implement effective unit testing practices to support good code design, readability, and reliability.
• We contribute to or help define strategy, drive requirements, recommend changes, and support resource, budget, and policy planning where applicable.
• We advise key stakeholders and senior management on areas of functional and cross-functional impact.
