Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ trauma history, enabling personalized and effective treatment planning. \n
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and effective coping strategies for trauma recovery. \n
- Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a nurturing atmosphere where patients can safely explore their trauma experiences and develop essential coping skills. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide holistic care and ensure all patient needs are met. \n
- Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing techniques that promote stability and safety. \n
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding and management of mental health challenges. \n
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that complies with all legal and ethical standards, contributing to the integrity of patient care. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed practices. \n
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring that your approaches reflect the most effective and innovative treatment methodologies. \n
This role is focused on serving a diverse population of patients grappling with the repercussions of trauma, including those with diagnoses of PTSD and related disorders. You will work closely with individuals from various backgrounds, each with unique experiences and needs, emphasizing a personalized approach to treatment.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential. \n
- Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and demonstrated proficiency in trauma-informed treatment methods. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for a compassionate and non-judgmental connection with patients. \n
- Adeptness in maintaining composure in high-pressure situations, ensuring patient stability and support. \n
- Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various communication technologies. \n
- Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting, sharing insights and learning from colleagues. \n

- Two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health environment, with a focus on trauma-related therapy preferred. \n
- Proven track record in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care. \n
