Registered Nurse – PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (10:00–20:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery care for post-operative patients
• Support patients undergoing Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, General, Orthopedic, Orthopedic/Spine, and Orthopedic/Total Joint procedures
• Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement as required competencies
• Complete 2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts per month as scheduled
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic and spine procedures
• First-time travel nursing candidates are welcome to apply
