X-Ray Technologist

The 61st Street Service Corporation, provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors' practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Medical Director performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation and archiving X-Ray images, responsible for the care of the patient while in the X-Ray area. Responsible administratively to the Site Administrator.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets patients by confirming patient identification; reviewing imaging request; checking for special instructions; confirming anticipated services with patient.
• Assist the physicians with prepping the patients for interventional studies or peripheral studies.
• Assists the physicians during all procedures to provide optimal examinations.
• Uses independent judgement to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure, performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images.
• Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance protocols.
• Ensures good working order of equipment. Troubleshoots routine equipment problems or seeks technical' assistance for equipment malfunctions.
• Works closely with the Clinical Operations manager to manage inventory, place orders and organize supplies.
• Act as a liaison with NYPH IT for networking and Vue PACS/equipment setup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred
• Graduate AMA approved school of Radiology required
• New York State Licensed X-Ray Technologist by the Department of Health required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required

Hourly Rate Ranges: $40.44 - $59.13

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
