Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is full time day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) with five (5) weekend shifts per 6-week period. Eligible for sign on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants. Emergency medical care is provided by board-certified physicians from Virginia Emergency Medical Associates (VEMA). ER Nurse Responsibilities: Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Experienced behavioral health nurses and Overflow unit assist the team in caring for non-emergency patients Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. Education: BSN or AD. If RN has an AD, within 2 years from date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date License: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider certification through American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: Experience : Two years ED experience strongly preferred Other : Proficient in English; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others; Proficient computer skills required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Inova Health System
