About the Role

Ama at the Atlas is seeking an experienced, people focused Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team.

This is a hands on leadership position for someone who wants to have a meaningful impact on both the employee and guest experience.

The AGM will work closely with the General Manager and restaurant leadership to oversee daily front of house operations, develop and support the team, maintain strong service standards, and help ensure an exceptional experience for every guest.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, understands restaurant operations, communicates effectively across kitchen, bar, and service teams, and is equally comfortable managing the administrative and operational responsibilities that keep a restaurant running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily front of house operations and help lead successful, organized service.
• Support coordination between the kitchen, bar, and service teams.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop front of house employees.
• Support hiring and onboarding of new team members.
• Assist with scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and day to day restaurant systems.
• Manage and review timekeeping, and tip distribution for accuracy.
• Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, organization, and health and safety compliance.
• Help manage restaurant platforms including Toast, OpenTable, 7shifts, and Google Workspace.
• Assist with inventory management and vendor relationships.
• Respond to guest feedback and support service recovery when necessary.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, accountable, and collaborative workplace.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• Strong front of house and guest service experience
• A hands-on leadership style and ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with scheduling, labor management, payroll, or restaurant administrative functions.
• Familiarity with Toast, OpenTable, and 7shifts is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site leadership position requiring approximately 45 to 50 hours per week , including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of $65,000-$74,000 based on relevant experience and qualifications
• Two weeks of paid vacation annually
• Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave annually
• Paid company observed holidays
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with Pearl & Law Hospitality contributing 75% of the applicable premium following completion of the eligibility waiting period
