Delivery Technician

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor, this position handles deliveries, pickup, repairs, and maintenance tasks for Prism customers. This position is responsible for adhering to process and productivity goals, while maintaining efficiency and a high level of customer service in the distribution department.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Must have a valid driver's license for a minimum of three years.
• Must be 19 years of age with a good driving record.
• Previous relevant experience preferred.
• Computer or data entry experience.
• Customer service focused.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, demonstrative, and time management skills.
• Exercises good judgment and decision making.
• Excellent human relation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, and patients.
• Demonstrates ability to work successfully with internal and external contacts.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently.
• Knowledge and adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. (Education provided during training)
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations. (Education provided during training)

Essential Functions

1. Using the tablet prepare pre-trip, load, deliveries, and post trip.
2. Call all patients prior to delivery to communicate delivery schedule and confirm equipment.
3. Verify delivery order with the equipment to be delivered.
4. Restock vehicle excess inventory to ensure ability to handle add-on deliveries on the road.
5. Set-up equipment in the home and provide instruction on use and safety of the equipment.
6. Complete necessary paperwork/documentation, collect COD payments and verify customer information.
7. Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
8. Inspect vehicle daily and report problems to supervisor.
9. Ensure compliance with OSHA FDA, DOT, and ACHC requirements; maintain necessary logs.
10. Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance when required.
11. Assist warehouse staff with inventory control.
12. Place any dirty or contaminated equipment in the appropriate cleaning area.
13. Attend in-service training when required.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a desk telephone, cellphone, copy machine, tablet, and computer printer.
