Role Overview The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) provides compassionate, timely care to sexual assault victims, including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, documentation, and referrals for follow-up and legal proceedings. Role Overview The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) provides compassionate, timely care to sexual assault victims, including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, documentation, and referrals for follow-up and legal proceedings. Key Responsibilities Conduct medical-forensic examinations and document findings accurately. Administer prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Provide non-judgmental support and participate in legal processes as needed. Ensure timely and compassionate care for victims in a sensitive manner. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred. Valid Texas RN license and current SANE certification or in-progress with certification obtained within 6 months. Current TNCC certification or willing to obtain within 6 months. Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience preferred. Additional Information Work involves variable hours and on-call shifts, including night shifts. Requires flexibility to respond to program coverage needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
