Make an impact by supporting students as a Paraprofessional, providing essential 1:1 American Sign Language (ASL) services to a 7th grade learner. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly in a dynamic school environment near Bossier City, LA, from August 6, 2026, through May 19, 2027. You’ll help ensure that a student receives the full benefit of classroom instruction by facilitating clear communication and supporting their access to curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver onsite 1:1 ASL interpretation and support for a 7th grade student during the academic year
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment where communication barriers are minimized
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff to follow instructional plans and classroom routines
• Advocate for your student’s participation and engagement in all aspects of the school day
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions within the educational setting

Desired Qualifications:

• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL); able to facilitate communication with accuracy and sensitivity
• Experience working as a paraprofessional or within school environments preferred
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to empowering students with diverse learning needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Able to commit to a full 35-hour work week onsite throughout the contract period
