About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified PICU RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29401!

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float within scope of practice across all pediatric units as needed to meet facility demands, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and holiday rotation as required
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including pre-start modules (approximately 4 hours, completed prior to start date)
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or eligibility for the SC walk-through process)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• PALS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

• Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)

• Opportunity to work within a dynamic pediatric critical care float pool, gaining broad experience across multiple specialized pediatric units
• Block scheduling may be available upon request, subject to manager approval and unit needs
