Job title: Lead Plaintiff-Side Litigation Attorney Base salary: Up to $250,000 or more, depending on experience Annual bonus: Approximately $20,000–$50,000 About the opportunity A nationally recognized midsize plaintiffs’ law firm is seeking an experienced Lead Litigation Attorney for its Sacramento, CA office. The firm focuses exclusively on representing survivors of sexual abuse and is widely regarded as a national leader in this field. Led by a founding partner who is one of the country’s leading voices on sexual-abuse litigation, the firm has built a national practice devoted to holding perpetrators and powerful institutions accountable. This role combines sophisticated civil litigation, meaningful client advocacy, substantial case ownership, and team leadership. The Lead Attorney will oversee dozens of active civil matters and manage a dedicated team consisting of an associate attorney, paralegal, legal assistant, and investigator. Responsibilities Lead a substantial portfolio of plaintiff-side civil litigation matters Develop and execute case strategy from investigation through settlement or trial Take and defend depositions Draft and argue dispositive, discovery, and evidentiary motions Manage written discovery, document production, and evidence development Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial Represent survivors with compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism Investigate claims involving schools, religious organizations, healthcare facilities, youth organizations, government entities, and other institutions Work closely with experts and investigators Evaluate liability, damages, settlement posture, and trial strategy Supervise and mentor an associate attorney Direct the work of a paralegal, legal assistant, and investigator Keep numerous active matters organized and moving forward Qualifications At least seven years of civil litigation experience Active California membership in good standing Significant deposition, discovery, briefing, and motion-practice experience Demonstrated ability to manage dozens of active matters Prior experience supervising attorneys and legal-support professionals Excellent writing, oral advocacy, organization, and strategic judgment Ability to build trust with clients who have experienced significant trauma Plaintiff-side, personal-injury, civil-rights, employment, institutional-liability, or sexual-abuse experience is preferred Compensation and benefits Base salary up to $250,000 or more, depending on experience Annual bonuses generally ranging from $20,000–$50,000 Employee health-insurance premiums covered at 100% 401(k) with a 5% employer match Significant responsibility and direct ownership of sophisticated matters Opportunity to work with nationally recognized leaders in survivor advocacy #J-18808-Ljbffr
