Seasoned Commercial HVAC Technician

Position Overview Seasoned Commercial HVAC Technician – Location: Seneca, SC. Job Responsibilities Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to identify repair and replacement needs. Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units for systems of 15 tons or more. Maintain larger preventive maintenance contracts with more than 5 units. Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls. Serve and troubleshoot mini-splits and/or replace smaller rooftop units and mini-splits for 15 tons or less. Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered. Accountabilities Continual learning and development through FirstCall Academy to set the bar for skill level in the industry. Maintain elite level of customer service, ensuring customers choose FirstCall for HVAC needs. Qualifications Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Active EPA Certification. 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA 10 Certification. Manufacturer Certification preferred. Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Behavioral Profile Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; effectively communicate with customers by checking in and out; explain problems and resolution in a customer‑friendly manner; closely communicate issues/concerns/updates with account managers on jobs. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions; handle problems with several variables; prioritize multiple tasks; lead and teach helpers and tech I’s. Physical Demands Regular use of hands; stand, walk, and sit frequently; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
