Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering personalized nursing care by employing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to effectively plan, execute, and assess patient care.

The RN will demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of patient care, including preventive measures, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients progress through their care journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating patient care
  • Conducting patient assessments
  • Providing patient education
  • Triage and various nursing interventions

The RN will function in accordance with the standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant Administrative Rules in their state of practice. Our professional nursing practice framework acknowledges the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association, serving as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is essential, including institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Possession of an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where practice occurs, or multistate licensure if applicable under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Maintenance of required department-specific competencies and certifications is also necessary.
