Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous experience working with students who have diverse learning abilities
- Proficient in developing and modifying Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong classroom management abilities and the flexibility to adapt strategies as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional approaches as necessary
- Communicate effectively with families regarding progress, challenges, and successes
- Participate in IEP meetings and support compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Promote a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and confidence
