A specialty pharmacy in San Diego is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their team. This position offers a contract assignment with potential for conversion to permanent, suitable for candidates with experience in specialty pharmacy settings, particularly in processing medication authorizations.

- 8-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Some weekend shifts required
- Accurately filling prescriptions in a timely manner
- Processing medication authorizations efficiently to support patient care
- Collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication dispensing
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
- Experience working in a specialty pharmacy environment strongly preferred
- Proficient in processing medication authorizations
- Local candidates preferred for ease of commuting and scheduling
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
This contract role begins immediately and is expected to last 13 weeks or more, with a flexible potential to transition into a permanent position.
