divh2IV Technician (Part Time Role)/h2pThis role is responsible for starting IVs and administering the application of intravenous vitamins. The IV tech will administer vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly to the patients body to optimize health and wellness./ppEssential Functions:/pulliStart and administer IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process./liliAdminister IM/SQ Injections as indicated./liliMonitor the clients response to treatment./liliManage and prevent infections./liliAssess the clients physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc./liliIdentify contraindications to intravenous therapy for the client./liliTake clients vitals as needed./liliDocuments interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment./liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulpQualifications Education/Certification:/pulliCredentialed as an RN (Registered Nurse)/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions/liliStrong Venous Access Skills with the Ability to Access Peripheral Veins/lili2 years minimum of Vascular Access or Infusion Experience needed/liliStrong Venous Access Skills Including Ability to Access Peripheral Veins/liliExcellent Intravenous Catheter Placements Skills/liliAttention to Detail/liliStrong Interpersonal Skills/liliStrong Written and Verbal Communication/liliCustomer Service, Patient Confidentiality, Stress Management; Multi-tasking, Self-Motivation, Self-Management, Problem-solving, Time Management, Independent Judgement, Resilience, Perseverance, Organization, Patient Care, Flexibility, Dependability and Reliability, Collaboration and teamwork, Ability to meet all performance standards of the position and continually learn in the position./li/ulpPhysical Strength:/pulliAbility to speak effectively and communicate clearly./liliAble to hear average conversations./liliThe employee is regularly required to type continuously throughout the day./liliThe employee is regularly required to use their hands to type and maneuver a mouse./liliSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts)./liliThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time./li/ulpWorking Conditions:/ppThis part-time position will require working 58 hours weekend shifts./p/div
