Job Title: Configuration Data Support Specialist 

Location:Simi Valley, CA

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Industry: Defense Manufacturing 

Compensation: $28 to $30/hr DOE

Schedule: 9/80- schedule with every other friday off

Supports hardware and software development by maintaining configuration and data management processes. This role helps document, track, and manage engineering documentation, baselines, and changes while ensuring records are accurate, organized, and up to date. The position works under general supervision, follows established procedures, and assists with reporting and issue identification.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with hardware and software configuration management and data management activities.
• Document, track, and maintain engineering baselines and records.
• Structure and maintain databases related to engineering documentation.
• Review and manage engineering drawings, parts lists, code, and related documentation.
• Verify approvals and incorporate authorized changes into documentation.
• Log, file, organize, and track technical documents and records.
• Generate standard reports to support project and configuration tracking.
• Track hardware and software assets for future updates and modifications.
• Identify routine issues and escalate more complex problems to supervisors.
• Communicate with internal teams to gather and provide technical information.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years experience in Document control or Data management practices 

What Sets You Apart:

• Ability to organize, maintain, and track technical documentation accurately.
• Experience working with databases, engineering drawings, parts lists, or technical records is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures while working with moderate independence.
