Jockey Truck Driver

Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Jockey Truck Driver to join their team. As a Jockey Truck Driver, you will be part of the transportation operations supporting warehouse and yard management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive safety mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Jockey Truck Driver
Location: Rincon, GA
Pay Range: $23
Shift: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Fri-Sun
What's the Job?
- Operate yard jockey trucks to move trailers and equipment within the facility yard safely and efficiently.
- Position trailers at loading and unloading docks according to operational schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of jockey trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance.
- Verify trailer numbers and ensure correct equipment is moved to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and yard activities, and communicate effectively with team members.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or required based on company policy.
- Previous experience operating yard jockey trucks, spotter trucks, or similar equipment is preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and good communication skills.
