Volt is immediately hiring for a  Turning Machinist in Santa Rosa, California

As a Turning Machinist   ,  you will:

• Duties:

• Develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting-edge machine tools such as Swiss-style lathes, single- and multi-turret lathes, Wire EDM, and 3- to 5-axis milling centers.

• Skills:

• This position requires a machinist with a strong focus on precision, quality, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, strong teamwork, a positive attitude, dedication, and job flexibility are essential.
• You will interface with Engineering, Maintenance, Management, and Production/NPI Schedulers

Experience with any/all the following is highly desired:

• CNC Turning
• Swiss Style Lathes
• Mill/Turn Machine Center
• Wire EDM
• Advanced Metrology
• CNC Programming/CAM Programming Software
• CAD/Solid Modeling
• Tool Grinding
• Interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Education:

• High School Diploma
• Associate’s degree or Journeyman Machinist certification a plus

This is a  full-time Contract opportunity. Shift: Monday- Friday, 6am – 2:30pm

  Pay rate*: $37.00/hr - $38.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
