The Analytics Sales Specialist plays a vital role in the sales process, working closely with the sales team to drive analytic revenue for existing customers and new prospects. The focus is on the Discovery through Proof stages of the sales cycle, building the “value story” to maximize customer success. The Analytics Sales Specialist is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the customers’ business challenges, identifying where DNB’s analytic solutions add value, proposing the best solution(s), and creating a compelling business case to close on analytic sales opportunities. The book of business includes 30‑40 top strategic accounts. Key Responsibilities Drive meaningful customer value and sustained year‑over‑year sales growth selling DNB’s analytic solutions. Generate new analytic business through demand creation, opportunity qualification, solution identification, and value enablement. Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within a small number of existing and new accounts, focusing on upsell and cross‑sell. Conduct business‑based conversations to identify stakeholders, business processes, KPIs, and critical success factors around an opportunity. Build strong relationships with C‑level and senior executives of clients and prospects and drive greater value and business impact of our analytic solutions. Achieve aggressive sales targets in the fast‑growing analytics marketplace. Leverage use cases, best practices, and application knowledge to develop thorough ROI analyses for clients. Participate in account planning, business reviews, and quarterly solution reviews as needed. Serve as a customer advocate to influence the innovation roadmap and support initiatives for the high‑tech industry vertical. Evangelize DNB’s analytic solutions to customers, internal partners, and the marketplace. Participate in industry and company‑sponsored events and panels to demonstrate thought leadership. Experience Needed Demonstrated deep expertise and knowledge in the business application of analytics across disciplines such as risk, marketing, and supply. Strong analytic skills—model usage and validation, data analysis, and strategy design. 7+ years of successful consultative, solution‑oriented sales experience, preferably selling analytic solutions to solve business problems. Proven success with driving new and existing large‑dollar engagements in highly complex environments. Ability to identify new opportunities with existing customers (many of whom already purchase multiple DNB solutions). Ability to manage and report on opportunities throughout their stages within the sales pipeline. Experience with R, SPSS, PL/SQL, Hadoop, Python, and visualization tools is preferred. Qualitative Skills Results oriented, self‑starter able to influence across multiple role levels, drive priorities, and own outcomes in a matrixed environment. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, able to clearly articulate alternative solutions that map to our core analytics assets. Proven track record of success in a team‑selling environment. Deep understanding of customer goals and ability to develop and carry vision through the organization. Clear, precise, and effective written and verbal communication with internal and external audiences. Location and Travel 25% domestic travel. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree required.
