Hose Fabrication / Cylinder Repair Technician

Job Description

Essential Functions

Trouble-shoot, disassemble, clean, repair, rebuild and reassemble hydraulic cylinders
Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
Test cylinders on a state-of-the-art testing table
Manufacture hydraulic hoses using a high-pressure crimping machine
Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Must have experience with the repair and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders
Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
Able to lift 50 lbs
Experience with cranes and other heavy lift equipment is a plus

Education

· High school diploma/GED

· 2 years related experience
