A confidential Southern California litigation firm is seeking a Partner to help expand its defense-side practice, with a focus on insurance-related litigation and public entity defense matters. This is a leadership-forward opportunity for an attorney with a portable book of business who is interested in building and scaling a team within an established litigation platform.

Defense-focused practice supporting sophisticated litigation, including matters involving public entities and insurance disputes. Hybrid structure with a defined in-office expectation. Streamlined interview process with firm leadership, with a targeted timeline of approximately six weeks.THE ROLE
Lead defense-side litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Serve as a primary client contact, providing strategy, risk analysis, and practical litigation counseling. Develop and expand a portable book of business and contribute to broader practice growth. Supervise, mentor, and develop associates, including supporting a small team move where applicable. Partner with firm leadership on staffing, workflow, and practice development initiatives.LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Location: Schedule: Hybrid, with in-office expectation of 2 days per week. Compensation: Negotiable based on portable book of business and any team move; provided range tops at $300,000.REQUIREMENTS
Active California Bar admission, in good standing. 10 to 15 years of defense-side litigation experience. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Established portable book of business. Ability to bring a small team of associates. Strong trial and litigation record, including substantial responsibility for strategy, advocacy, and outcomes.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
