Variety of Responsibilities: Your day may consist of transporting children to and from visits, interacting with families, tracking juvenile and adult clients by phone or unannounced visits, performing breathalyzer tests and urine analyses, attending training sessions, and/or completing documentation. What You’ll Do: Observe and document visits between children and their parents, while offering positive and engaging communication and mediation. Ensure all interactions remain safe, positive, and follow agency, licensing, and accreditation guidelines. Provide a neutral, calming presence for families in indoor and outdoor settings. Track juvenile and adult clients by phone and unannounced visits. Perform breathalyzer tests and urine analyses when required – you will receive training to learn how to perform this important work! Support the logistical needs of the visitation program, transporting children to and from visits. Qualifications Who We’re Looking For: Reliable & Punctual: Families count on you to be there and look forward to their visits! Clear & Compassionate Communicators: You can write clear, objective notes and speak kindly and sensitively with diverse groups of people and a variety of personalities. Calm Under Pressure: You have a calm demeanor, patience, and ability to manage potentially high-conflict/stressful situations while working with domestic violence and child protection cases. Community-Minded: You care about the future of Winona and the families who live here! What else? Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift children, as necessary. Candidates MUST be 20 years of age or older. Ready to make a difference?
