Fixed Asset Accountant

Fixed Asset AccountantOur client, a large well established organization in Gwinnett has a need for a Fixed Asset Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity with excellent benefits. The client offers a base salary up to $70k and an excellent benefits package.Responsibilities:Maintains all aspects of Fixed Asset Accounting and Reporting as follows:Review fixed assets purchase requestsRecord and review fixed assets disposition in the systemAssign and issue fixed asset tagsReconcile fixed asset sub-ledger vs. general ledger and prepare fixed assets roll-forwardPerform various fixed assets analyses (depreciation reasonableness, mid-month review, fluctuation analysis)Facilitate physical inventory countProvide audit (internal/external) support (i.e. pull relevant fixed assets support and address various inquiries)Assist in various clean-up effortsRecommend to management any updates to accounting policies that can be applied across multiple business groupsSeek out unresolved accounting problems across the business and take initiative to address themAssist with special projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or the equivalent in experienceMinimum 5 years of relevant business experience, manufacturing preferredSpecialties with Equipment and Building Improvements managementExcellent MS Excel SkillsHighly effective communication skills (verbal and written)Strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong understanding of US GAAP
