Cook - Hospital Setting


Location: Phoenix, AZ (Arcadia)
Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Availability: Open availability required (including weekends and holidays)

Job Summary


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cook to join our hospital food services team. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold meals in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to food safety, quality, and providing excellent service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present meals for:
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Special and catered events
• Follow standard recipes and dietary guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and proper food storage
• Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Valid Food Handler's Card (required)
• Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Previous cooking or food service experience required, especially in healthcare or high-volume settings
• 7-year background check
• TB screening
