Your Opportunity The role of the Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager is to support client management, project management, and provide technical support within our water resources group. In this role, the candidate will work independently on smaller projects or as a team member on larger projects. Previous consulting or water resource engineering related experience is highly preferable. Our projects range from planning and permitting to design, engineering and construction. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, embrace teamwork, and have the desire to grow and develop professionally. Project management experience is required. Your Key Responsibilities Project management responsibilities will include developing proposals; managing project budgets and schedules; coordinating with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal project staff; and performing and overseeing project technical work. * Participate in, and support, a wide variety of water related projects, including planning and conceptual design, and detailed design and implementation. * Perform or review all aspects of design (grading, drainage, water, hydrology, erosion control, etc.) with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence. * Lead water resource planning studies for conveyance, flood analysis, water quality and ecological benefits. * Complete tasks and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate. Provide management, guidance, training, and oversight of project staff. * Prepare technical reports, concept designs, construction specifications, construction drawings, bidding documents, and permit applications for approval. * Lead or participate in the permitting process of projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel, and governing entities. Coordinate and manage multiple projects and interface with clients, government agencies, and other Stantec offices / business units.
