Laundry Aide

Sort and separate laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines and dryers Load and unload laundry machines using proper weights and settings Use appropriate cleaning agents and laundry products to remove stains and odors Check and treat items for stains and damages before laundering Inspect and fold cleaned laundry items, ensuring proper sorting and storage Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify the supervisor when additional supplies are needed Deliver clean laundry to appropriate areas or individuals Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the laundry area Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service Requirements Previous housekeeping/cleaning/laundry aide experience in a healthcare setting preferred Ability to work independently Ability to reschedule cleaning activities to meet the needs of residents or nursing staff Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, visitors and co-workers Ability to read and understand Standard English Ability to work with standard cleaning chemicals Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in laundry operations, including sorting, operating equipment, and maintaining cleanliness while adhering to safety procedures.
