Cardiac Anesthesiologist

St. David's Health Care is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a well-established practice in Austin, TX. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services within a care team model at St. David's Medical Center and other affiliated hospitals. The position offers an opportunity to work in a renowned medical center that provides extensive inpatient and outpatient care. Practice Info * Practice provides anesthesia services at St. David's Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and Round Rock Medical Center * Diverse group composed of anesthesiologists and CRNAs * Anesthesia services follow a care team model Responsibilities * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department * Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures * Pre-anesthesia assessment * Obtains and/or verifies patient consent * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient * Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia * Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition * Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation * Salary: $440,000+ * ~$130,000 productivity and call pay (total ~$570,000) * Premium pay over 40 hours * Cardiac specialty stipend: $50,000 * Sign on Incentive: $50,000 Benefits * Generous paid time off: Inquire to learn more * Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts * 401(k) * Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage * Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule * 50 hours per week; including call Requirements * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine * ECFMG and FLEX * Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia * Currently licensed as a Physician
