Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Communications Engineer to support and maintain enterprise communication and collaboration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco collaboration technologies, contact center administration, network infrastructure, monitoring tools, and Microsoft Teams environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications environments.
• Manage and maintain Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) systems.
• Configure and support Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) and Cisco Finesse platforms.
• Monitor system performance using Cisco Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT).
• Administer Cisco Emergency Responder services.
• Support Cisco network infrastructure including switches, routers, and voice gateways.
• Utilize Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for network automation and management.
• Monitor network and system health using SolarWinds.
• Configure and troubleshoot remote access and terminal sessions using PuTTY.
• Support Microsoft Teams voice and collaboration solutions.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for communication systems.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and system changes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in unified communications or network engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Cisco Finesse
  • Cisco Call Manager (CUCM)
  • Cisco Unified CCX Administration
  • Cisco Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT)
  • Cisco Emergency Responder
  • Cisco DNAC
  • SolarWinds
  • Cisco Infrastructure technologies
  • Microsoft Teams
  • PuTTY
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting VoIP and contact center environments.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, SIP, and routing/switching.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate
• ITIL Foundation Certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time. Feeling is required over 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. The ability to travel to field sites may be required up to 15% of the time.

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations.
