Qualifications/Preferred Experience:

  • Active Georgia SPED License with appropriate endorsements required
  • Experience in adaptive and general curriculum special education preferred
  • ADAPTIVE SPED CERT for North Jackson Elementary (Autism Level 3 classroom)
  • SPED GENERAL CURRICULUM CERT for West Jackson Middle School (ASD Level 1 or Adaptive MI/MO classroom)
  • Passion for working with students with complex physical and academic needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and care in self-contained special education classrooms
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) with creativity and compassion
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to diverse learning needs
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with educational standards
