Lead Host / Maitre D Eberly, a contemporary American fine dining restaurant located in Greenwich Village, is looking for a Lead Host / Maitre D to represent our hospitality to every guest. The role involves greeting, seating, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience while leading and coordinating front‑of‑house staff. Compensation Competitive hourly pay plus tips. Paychecks are issued weekly. Flexible am/pm shifts are available. Health Insurance Aetna coverage with vision and dental. A $100 monthly premium applies to qualifying full‑time employees. Job Purpose The Lead Host/Maitre D serves as the first point of contact for guests, embodying Eberly’s warm and energetic hospitality and ensuring smooth operation of the dining room. Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in host or front‑of‑house positions. Fluency in reservation systems such as RESY and Open Table. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a pleasant personality committed to guest service. Willingness to perform a variety of duties under changing conditions. Acceptance of this being a tipped position. Position Responsibilities Accurately capture and record guest information. Perform sidework and set‑up duties as assigned. Greet guests entering the dining room and seat them graciously. Monitor seated guests and respond promptly to their needs. Direct Food Servers, Back Servers, and Food Runners in billing, guest requests, and service tasks. Maintain complete knowledge of the menu and proper food‑handling presentation. Operate with a working knowledge of beverage and service techniques. Arrange opening reports and check all menus nightly for accuracy. Maintain a working par of menus and manage reservation systems. Inform management and staff of special guest requests and establish regular guest lists. Perform related duties as assigned (e.g., assisting with reservations, answering the phone, maintaining a professional appearance). Handle schedule: Eberly is open Tuesday‑Saturday 5‑10 pm and brunch Saturday‑Sunday 10 am‑2 pm; PM availability required 3‑11 pm. #J-18808-Ljbffr
