Viola & Virsies Learning in Zanesville, OH is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join their dedicated team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most critical stage of early childhood development. If you love caring for little ones and creating a safe, stimulating environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities for infants in a classroom setting
- Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing infants throughout the day
- Observe and document infant milestones, behaviors, and developmental progress
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and growth
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized infant classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Build warm, trusting relationships with infants and their families to support secure attachment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting
- Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices in infant care
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Ohio childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication skills and a warm, patient, nurturing demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead classroom staff effectively
