Industrial Maintenance TechnicianThis role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial electrical systems, automation, and mechanical maintenance.This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be required by his/her supervisor.Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position):Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.Install, wire, and commission new equipment and system upgradesDiagnoses and repair electrical systems including motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and control panelsDiagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components of machines and equipment.Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devicesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and packaging equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical systems such as conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and bale processing equipmentInterpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsSupport and troubleshoot automated and robotic equipment, including Fuji robotic systemsAssist with basic robotic diagnostics, calibration, and routine maintenanceUtilize CMMS to track work orders, repairs, and maintenance activitiesCollaborate with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiencyMaintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresKey Success Factors for Position:Safety awareness & complianceStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAttention to detailCommunicates clearly (both written and verbal), to all levels of the organizationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamContinuous learning & adaptability in a fast-paced production environmentExperiences / Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (multi-craft preferred)Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V, 3-phase systems)Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred) and VFDsWorking knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumaticsExperience with Fuji robotic systems or similar industrial robots is a plusAbility to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematicsExperience using CMMS systems is a plusWelding and fabrication experience preferred but not requiredJourneyman Electrician License (recommended but not required)Working Conditions:General Manufacturing Environment:Work is regularly performed inside the plant and occasionally in the surrounding grounds and facilities. Because of this, employees are frequently exposed to adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain and snow. Lighting varies based on the season, weather and conditions in the plant. Employees regularly work near moving mechanical parts, material handling equipment and are exposed to ergonomic hazards, noise and dust.Physical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, write and communicate in fluent English. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms along with frequent lifting, pushing/pulling of items 30-50 pounds, and operating machinery or equipment.
