Yard Material Handler

This position is responsible for performing day-to-day yard operations of shipping, receiving, customer service, product loading, and inventory control. A good attitude and reliable attendance are required.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist customers in loading order accurately, work with dispatcher and sales counter to process, prepare, and load sales items for walk-in customers, contractors, and/or dealers.
• Unload incoming freight and inspect items for shortages or damages, match with packing slips and additional paperwork.
• Keep inventory organized in yard and warehouse.

Education and/or experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree
• Previous experience in masonry, construction, or landscaping fields is desired.
• Operating construction machinery including forklift and a front-end loader.

Skills and abilities:

• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to climb in and out of lifting equipment.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and teammates.
• Work outside most of the day.
• Be able to speak English and Spanish is desired.
