Non-Negotiables

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required
• At least three years of experience as a Process or Production Engineer in a PSM-regulated chemical plant is required
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
• Demonstrated experience supporting batch and continuous chemical manufacturing operations is essential
• Familiarity with process unit operations such as reactors, distillation, filtration, and dryers is mandatory

Responsibilities

• You will provide day-to-day production support for batch and continuous chemical operations, troubleshooting process and equipment issues
• You will track production yields and perform mass balances to monitor efficiency and quality
• You will lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost performance
• You will support downtime analysis and runtime optimization to maximize operational throughput
• You will participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives and audits to ensure compliance
• You will implement change management processes, including Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, P&ID updates, and hazard reviews
• You will assist in training operations teams to strengthen plant capabilities and safety culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, and P&ID interpretation is preferred
• Knowledge of additional unit operations such as extrusion, heat treatment, pneumatic conveying, and flaking is a plus
• Exposure to various reaction chemistries like polymerization, esterification, and emulsion reactions gives you an advantage
• The ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses is valued
• Prior experience with statistical process control and statistical quality control is advantageous
• Strong data analysis skills for correlating cycle times, quality specs, and unit operation parameters will set you apart
