Job Description :

We Are Seeking an experienced Technical Documentation Writer to develop, maintain, and enhance information security governance documentation that supports enterprise cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. This role is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and enforceable security policies, standards, procedures, technical baselines, and compliance documentation aligned with industry cybersecurity frameworks and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical writing, information security governance, and cybersecurity compliance, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical subject matter experts and produce documentation for technical teams, leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop, revise, and maintain information security policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation.

·         Create technical standards and implementation guidance that support approved security policies.

·         Develop security baselines, configuration standards, and supporting technical documentation.

·         Produce compliance documentation that is technically accurate, consistent, complete, and enforceable.

·         Recommend improvements to documentation structure, organization, and governance processes.

·         Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts to document existing processes, security controls, and operational procedures.

·         Document governance processes that align with recognized cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices.

·         Maintain document version control and support periodic reviews and updates of security documentation.

·         Ensure documentation supports organizational compliance, audit readiness, and risk management objectives.

·         Create documentation suitable for technical staff, management, auditors, and external reviewers.

·         Assist with documenting security governance processes, policy lifecycle management, and organizational standards.

·         Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to strengthen documentation quality and consistency.

Required Skills:

·          Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Technical Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

·          Proven technical writing experience supporting cybersecurity, information security, or IT governance initiatives.

·          Strong knowledge of information security governance principles and policy development.

·          Experience developing security policies, standards, procedures, and implementation guidance.

·          Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including:

·          NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)

·          NIST SP 800-53

·          IRS Publication 1075

·          CIS Critical Security Controls

·          Experience with security governance and risk management.

·          Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM).

·          Understanding of Incident Response processes.

·          Experience documenting Vulnerability Management procedures.

·          Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.

·          Familiarity with Vendor Risk Management practices.

·          Experience documenting Security Awareness and Training programs.

·          Understanding of policy lifecycle management and document governance.

·          Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

·          Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams while managing multiple documentation priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

·          Professional cybersecurity certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar).

·          Experience supporting regulatory compliance or audit initiatives.

·          Familiarity with additional cybersecurity governance frameworks and best practices.

·          Experience creating enterprise-wide governance, risk, and compliance documentation.

·          Background supporting large-scale information security or IT governance programs.
