Home Health Aide (HHA)Home health aides act as a bridge to independent living for many seniors as well as those with disabilities who may also require assistance with activities of daily living. From monitoring a client’s vital signs and physical or mental condition, to assisting with grooming, hygiene, and chores around the house, Home Health Aides allow clients to maintain the familiarity — and dignity — of living at home.Home Health Aid Compensation and Benefits:Competitive PayFlexible Working HoursCompensation: $15+Home Health Aid Responsibilities:Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasksPerform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medicationHelp with general light housekeeping, including cooking mealsMake transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as neededCollect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family membersObserve and report on each client’s conditionStay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and proceduresHome Health Aid Requirements:Previous experience as a home health aide preferred but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAccess to reliable transportationCurrent CPR (American Heart Association) CertificationMust be able to pass a criminal background check and provide referencesAbility to think and work both independently and with directionMust have exceptional personal hygieneMust be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside mannerKnowledge of basic housekeepingPreferred Care at Home is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
