Join Our Anesthesia Team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Our organization is in search of a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to become a vital part of our anesthesia team. The CRNA will play a crucial role in administering anesthesia, monitoring patients' vital signs, and managing their recovery post-anesthesia. We are looking for a candidate who exhibits a strong sense of autonomy, clinical proficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Shifts may vary, including 8, 10, and 12-hour options.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Anesthetic Assessment:
  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations, which encompass patient history, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic information.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team and patients to formulate and discuss anesthesia care plans.
• Anesthesia Administration:
  • Administer various types of anesthetics, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, following established protocols.
  • Monitor patients during surgical and medical procedures, adjusting anesthetic levels as required.
  • Manage and oversee patients' airways to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation.
• Intraoperative Care:
  • Continuously observe patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • React swiftly to any changes in patient condition, implementing necessary interventions.
  • Work in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Post-Anesthetic Care:
  • Administer post-anesthesia care, focusing on pain management and monitoring patients during their recovery.
  • Facilitate a safe transition for patients from the operating room to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or other recovery areas.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of all aspects of anesthesia care, including pre-anesthetic evaluations, anesthetic administration, intraoperative management, and post-anesthetic care.
  • Keep detailed documentation of anesthesia-related procedures, medications, and patient responses.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Follow all federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines pertaining to anesthesia practice.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to remain updated on best practices and emerging trends in anesthesia care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of safety within the healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited institution.
• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Licensure: Active RN and APRN licenses in the state of New York.
• Required Experience: Experience in providing anesthesia care across diverse surgical and procedural environments.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $265,000 and $285,000. This figure represents the starting total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, or other cash compensation that may apply. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the factors mentioned above.
