Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.****Come build a career you believe in.**### **About the Role**As a **Shipping** **Supervisor** at **Atlas Tube** a division of **Zekelman Industries**, Birmingham, AL, you will oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations within the plant. This role ensures efficient material handling, order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping logistics while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.### ### **What You’ll Do*** Supervise, train, and coach warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production and delivery goals.* Coordinate and oversee the timely loading, unloading, and dispatch of shipments to ensure on-time customer delivery.* Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, including conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.* Ensure proper storage, staging, and movement of materials and finished products throughout the warehouse.* Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control costs.* Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to shipments, inventory, and warehouse activities using ERP or warehouse management systems.* Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.* Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.### ### **Who You Are*** 3+ years of warehouse and shipping experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment, preferably steel or pipe/tube manufacturing.* 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.* Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.* Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.* Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices.* Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.* Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordination across teams.### ### **Physical Abilities*** Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.* Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.* Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.### ### **What You’ll Get****Zekelman Industries** offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
