Echo Tech

This position requires mandatory echo experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. The unit has a bed capacity of 204. Staff includes a combination of PRN, PT, and FT team members. There are 7 echo techs and 10 ultrasound techs. Day shift staff includes a charge nurse, RNs, CNAs, and sitters. Night shift includes ultrasound and echo staff as needed. Patient ratios are typically 1:1. The equipment used includes GE Logiq e95 and GE Logiq e10. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Typical procedures performed include general and vascular ultrasound, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, transthoracic echo, and transesophageal echo. The ideal candidate will have a flexible personality and a sense of humor. The work culture is supportive and fosters teamwork among staff members. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
