General Manager

Location: New York City (Travel to Nashville and Austin as needed)

SAUCED is a growing wine bar and cocktail concept with five locations across New York City, Nashville and Austin. We believe great hospitality starts with great people. Our bars are welcoming spaces where guests can discover thoughtfully made wines, creative cocktails and genuine hospitality in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere.

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational success of SAUCED across all locations. Reporting to the Director of Operations and ownership, this role ensures consistent execution of company standards, exceptional guest experiences, and strong financial performance.

The General Manager will lead location management teams, develop future leaders, and drive accountability across the business. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong operational experience, excellent people skills, and the ability to balance service, hospitality, and business performance.

This position is based in New York City and requires regular travel to Nashville and Austin.

• Oversee daily operations across all locations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and exceptional hospitality.
• Maintain and improve operational systems, policies, and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and licensing regulations.
• Monitor facility maintenance and work with vendors to keep all locations operating at a high standard.
• Lead by example and provide support during busy service periods when needed.

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop management teams.
• Coach General Managers, Managers, and Captains to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and establish clear goals and development plans.
• Build a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.
• Support succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders.

• Ensure every guest receives warm, knowledgeable, and memorable hospitality.
• Maintain consistent execution of food, beverage, wine, and cocktail programs.
• Review guest feedback and implement improvements when needed.
• Protect and strengthen the SAUCED brand across every location.

• Partner with the Director of Operations to achieve sales, labor, and profitability goals.
• Monitor labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, and controllable expenses.
• Review weekly operational reports and key performance indicators.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure accurate inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.

• Serve as the primary operational link between location leadership and the Director of Operations.
• Foster strong communication between departments and locations.
• Assist with the implementation of new initiatives, menu launches, systems, and operational improvements.
• Support the successful opening of future locations as the company grows.

• Minimum 3 years of General Manager or multi-unit hospitality management experience.
• Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of labor management, budgeting, inventory control and operational performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to travel regularly between company locations.
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience.
• Wine & cocktail knowledge
