The team focuses on contamination control across fab environments, enabling high product quality and yield. PQE partners with global teams to study contamination risks, implement mitigation strategies, and support consistent, scalable manufacturing processes.Position Overview:As a Process Quality Engineer, you will lead efforts in contamination control, new materials integration (NMI), and FOUP environment control. You will analyze contamination data, assess risk, and implement solutions that protect yield and product quality. This role works closely with cross-functional and global partners to improve processes, support new technology development, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze contamination data across process flows to identify trends, detect anomalies, and resolve out-of-control conditionsApply data-driven and AI-enabled methods to develop, automate, and track risk-based solutionsLead contamination control initiatives to improve yield, product quality, and process stabilityEvaluate contamination risks and define tool-sharing protocols between technology development and manufacturing teamsManage new materials integration (NMI) processes in partnership with process development, integration, and manufacturing teamsConduct risk assessments across multiple technologies (e.g., DRAM, advanced DRAM, advanced packaging) and implement mitigation strategiesDevelop and implement FOUP Environment Control (FEC) setups to support contamination control readinessPartner with global teams and represent PQE in cross-site forums to align on standards and drive consistencyIdentify and lead continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operations and deliver measurable impactMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field4–8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineeringExperience with cleanroom contamination control, including AMC/AMS monitoring, testing methods, and facility systemsStrong understanding of analytical instrumentation, including accuracy, precision, detection limits, and system limitationsKnowledge of semiconductor process areas such as etch, films, photolithography, wet processes, and CMPDemonstrated ability to lead multi-functional projects and influence partners across teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience in high-volume manufacturing (HVM) within contamination control, process development, or process integration teamsExperience supporting or enabling new materials integration (NMI) workflowsExperience applying or developing AI-driven solutions in manufacturing or engineering environmentsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsEffective communication skills with experience collaborating across global teamsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
