Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Acute RN

• Provide comprehensive care to general medical, neuro/ortho, and surgical patients
• Work within patient ratios of 4-5 per RNU, adjusting when necessary
• Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff for effective patient management
• Participate in a tele unit with centralized monitoring and strip reading
• Utilize EPIC for all charting and documentation

Requirements of the Surgical Acute RN

• Active IL license or confirmation of the application process
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar setting
