Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses (RNs), 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters
Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses (RNs), 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters
Patient Ratios: 1:4

Equipment and Technology

Level 1 trauma care equipment
Lucas devices
Welch Allen vital sign machines
GE bedside monitors
EKG machines

EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skill Set:

ACLS Certification
PALS or ENPC Certification (one required)

Preferred Qualifications:

TNCC Certification
ATCN or CEN Certification

Responsibilities

Typical procedures performed include:

Acute care and assessment of Emergency Room patients (Level III trauma center, accredited chest pain center, primary stroke center)
IV initiation and blood collection
Blood transfusions and medication administration
Resuscitation of adult and pediatric patients
Care of behavioral health patients
Assisting with intubation and restraint application
Assisting with splinting and moderate sedation

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will:

Enjoy a family-like atmosphere with a strong team dynamic
Exhibit a strong team orientation and flexibility regarding placement on the unit (e.g., triage, resuscitation rooms, etc.)

Additional Information

Weekends are required (a minimum of 2 per month). There is no on-call duty.
