Position Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate / Pawnbroker. Salary & Commission $13.45 to $15.95 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.43 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Best working hours: most stores open 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Earned Wage Access* available on the second day of employment: withdraw up to 50% of wages earned up to seven times in a payroll cycle. Unlimited commission above the hourly base rate. Vacation: one week after six months of service; additional week after one year; two weeks on each subsequent anniversary (up to 120 hours after five years). Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs open/close procedures and maintains a clean, stocked sales floor. Completes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items per policy. Answers incoming calls according to company standards. Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Works effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools. Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience. Successfully completes the assigned training program. Works with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods. Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified. May be asked to assist customers on the building exterior and retrieve products from exterior storage. Minimum age 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Basic math skills. Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines. Bilingual applicants encouraged. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash.
