First Southern Bank is looking for an Account Services Representative to join our team in Texarkana! The Account Services Representative’s responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers, accurately and efficiently processing transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures, answering questions regarding accounts, loans, statements, products, and services, identifying opportunities to provide financial solutions that meet their needs, and opening new accounts as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide the highest level of customer service in a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic manner to associates, customers and the community
• Build and maintain relationships with customers; identify customer needs and provide education on our products and services
• Identify and serve customers with account transactions
• Receive and record cash, checks, and payments
• Process cash and check withdrawals
• Assists customers with opening and closing of accounts
• Reconcile cash drawers
• Provide loan processing support to the lending staff as needed
• Maintain a strong working knowledge and adhere to bank policies, procedures, and systems
• Performs account maintenance and ensures accuracy by timely follow up and verifications

Requirements:

• Minimum education – High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of customer service experience; highly preferred in a financial institution
• Excellent computer and communication skills (in person, phone, and email)
• Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands
• Friendly, courteous, and professional disposition
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
