Welding Manager
$85kA manufacturing facility in Corpus Christi, Texas is looking for a Welding Manager and they are looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and is looking for a candidate to grow their welding department. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This role will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday. Welding Manager experience and a CWI required! salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
education: High School Responsibilities 1. Execute the weekly PLEX Production Dispatch list for Welding (including, Blast, Fit, Weld and ESB Weld). Targets: Completion rate at 90%; Efficiency at 90%. 2. Establish and monitor individual employee performance metrics to achieve departmental goals. Communicate results to employees on a periodic basis as required by Company. 3. Supervise Welding staff (Blasters, Welders, Fitters and Material Handler) to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and meet or exceed minimum quality standards. 4. Procure all consumables for departmental activities (Blast, Welding, Cutting, Grinding and Inspection.) 5. Responsible for ensuring radiography performance of 95% or better. 6. Serve as lead Safety Representative for Welding Department. 7. Review labor logs daily to ensure that hours are being correctly charged to assigned projects. 8. Manage all Welding personnel timesheets and obtain approval for overtime as needed. 9. Advise Production Manager of department needs regarding personnel (including overtime) and capital equipment. Research and calculate ROI for all capital equipment needs. 10. Responsible for Weld Shop improvements to include Continuous Improvement projects, Capital Expenditures, etc. 11. Coordinates with staff and Maintenance Department to ensure that preventative maintenance on all equipment is scheduled, completed and documented in a timely manner. - working in a smoke free environment
- wearing steel toe shoes
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
- Certified Welding Inspector (6 years of experience is preferred)
- Welding Manager (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Welding Supervisor (10 years of experience is preferred)
- Quality Control (10 years of experience is preferred)
- ASME Pressure Vessels (6 years of experience is preferred)
- Years of experience: 5 years
- Experience level: Manager
