Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized emergency nursing care to critically ill and injured patients in the emergency department. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver rapid, efficient, and compassionate patient care in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival to determine acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic records.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience.
• Meet required certifications including AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record systems.
• Possess strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
