Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12, 19:00–07:00) | Every other weekend required | 16-week or 26-week assignment options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity telemetry unit with a heavy neurology patient population
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to cardiac changes and arrhythmias
• Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale and deliver skilled care to post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed within the contracted facility
• Document accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Proficiency with Epic charting
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neurology nursing experience, including care of post-surgical neurology patients
• Familiarity with the NIH Stroke Scale and common neurological diagnoses
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
• Willingness and ability to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location
