Data Center Technician | Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Job Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Local travel to data center jobsites required) Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $21.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE) Job Description Are you a dependable technician who performs well in mission-critical environments? Do you enjoy hands-on work and supporting multiple projects in commercial and data center facilities? Flex Tech is seeking Data Center Technicians to support new construction and retrofit projects in live data center environments throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex . Our clients rely on us to deliver skilled, detail-oriented technicians who can work safely and efficiently in high-availability facilities. This role offers consistent work, professional growth, and exposure to enterprise-level data center infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Install data center racks, cabinets, and support infrastructure Mount, rack, and stack servers and network switches Install and manage large patching systems and cable management systems Perform trunk cable installation including: Pulling Labeling Dressing Termination Terminate Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling to servers and switches Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Work safely in live data center environments Use hand tools to complete installations accurately Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment Required Qualifications Experience pulling and terminating Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling in a live data center environment Familiarity with data center installation standards and best practices Strong attention to detail and cable management Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation to DFW-area jobsites Ability to travel throughout the local market Must pass a drug screen and background check Strong commitment to safety and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Experience installing racks, cabinets, and trunk cabling Experience working with servers, switches, and patch panels Willingness to travel outside the DFW market (not required) Why Work With Flex Tech Competitive hourly pay based on experience Consistent project-based work Opportunities to advance into senior or lead data center technician roles Ongoing training, mentorship, and hands-on experience Projects across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex About Flex Tech Headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Flex Tech, LLC provides skilled technicians for commercial electrical and low-voltage construction and retrofit projects across Texas.
